Hello, my name is Khaled Elsayed and I was born in Egypt. I am a freshman in my second semester and my major is Mechanical Engineering. I am fluent in both English and Arabic. I moved to America when I was 9 years old and I currently live in Queens,NY. In my free time I like to play sports, play video games(Fifa,cod,2k), I play basketball and play soccer at the park or at an indoor facility, I also like to watch soccer, basketball and the teams that I support are Liverpool and The Golden state warriors. The main part of my topic is that in the summer of 2024 I went to Egypt for vacation to visit my family. I had always wanted to go to the Pyramids but never had the opportunity to do so when I was younger. A little more background info on that is that I lived in Alexandria and from there to the pyramids is approximately a 4 hour car ride, so I never really had the chance to travel that distance with my family. Then I had to move to America which made it impossible to see the pyramids, and I had always told my parents how come I am Egyptian and I never saw the pyramids. In school when teachers and my classmates would find out that I am from Egypt, they would always ask me “have you seen the pyramids before” and sadly I would respond with “no”. I would sit there and have to explain to them that I moved to this country at a young age and also lived pretty far from the pyramids so I never had the opportunity to go see the pyramids. Then came the summer of 2024 where I was going to Egypt for vacation and told my parents that we have to visit the pyramids. Furthermore we rented a bus that brought us there and back and had a great time.
